Question 1

How can I check Silk Mark information before buying?

Accepted Answer

Check the individual product page for verified Silk Mark information and a photograph of the actual physical label. Ask for a live fabric and label demonstration if anything is unclear. Silk Mark concerns silk purity; it does not certify zari purity or quality, or prove that a fabric is handwoven.

Question 2

Which products are currently available at Kausheya?

Accepted Answer

Browse the current catalogue and its category filters to see available products. Check the item details for whether it is unstitched fabric or a finished garment, dimensions, included pieces and stitching information.

Question 3

How do I care for and store zari silk sarees?

Accepted Answer

Pure silk sarees should only be dry cleaned. For storage, wrap them in breathable pure cotton or muslin fabric in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and plastic bags, and refold periodically along the zari creases to maintain the pristine weave.

Question 4

What is the return, replacement, and cancellation policy at Kausheya?

Accepted Answer

To cancel, message us on WhatsApp straight away: if the order has not been dispatched yet, we cancel it and refund in full; once it is with the courier, it cannot be stopped. Once a piece is dispatched we do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges, so every customer receives an unworn piece. Our pieces are handwoven, not made on power looms, so small weaving irregularities such as an extra thread are natural and are not eligible for exchange or return. If a piece is damaged in transit, record an uncut video starting before you open the parcel and send it within 24 hours of delivery. We exchange it for the same piece if in stock or a similar piece you accept; otherwise we refund the item price once the damaged piece is returned. Courier charges for returning or exchanging a damaged piece are paid by the customer; if we sent the wrong item, we pay the courier charges.
